Letter From Membership Vice President
I’m Kristina Matassa, Alpha Xi Delta’s Membership Vice President at WVU. First, I, along with the rest of my chapter would like to say congratulations! You have already made two great decisions, attending West Virginia University and being interested in Greek Life.
I want to give you some encouragement as you enter the recruitment process through this letter. Going Greek is one of the best decisions I have ever made and I know it can be for you too! You are about to begin one of the greatest journeys of your life. The connections you make with the women in your Rho Gamma group, the connection you will feel to the chapter you belong in and the memories you make throughout the recruitment process will make your college experience something so amazing.
Everyone deserves a strong support system. We all deserve sisters to lean on, to make you laugh and to remind you of what you are capable of. We deserve a home away from home and a sisterhood that makes us feel loved and cared for every single day. My sisters and I thank Alpha Xi Delta for giving us all of that and more. The women in my chapter are strong, beautiful, hilarious, genuine and are my sisters in every sense of the word. My sisters lift each other up and push each other to be the greatest women we can be. We are all completely different but accept one another fully and are connected by the values that Alpha Xi Delta has pressed upon us.
Alpha Xi Delta has given me my best friends, my future bridesmaids and the greatest sisterhood I could ever ask for. Alpha Xi Delta has allowed me to reach my full potential and I know it can do the same for you.
Stay true to yourself during this journey, stay open minded, positive and take in every second. Going Greek will give you more than you could ever imagine. Remember that your future sisters will make this experience amazing for you and country roads will always take you home.
